Rebecca Godfrey, MBA, CMC, is Senior Vice President and practice lead of CBRE Development Strategy & Consulting’s Destination & Tourism team in Canada and is based in Toronto. Rebecca originally joined CBRE in 2015 with CBRE’s acquisition of PKF Consulting Canada, where she has been a Senior Associate since 2005, and was asked to lead the Tourism Consulting practice in June 2022. Rebecca has 20 years of consulting experience in the tourism and hospitality industries, and more than 35 years working in the industry for companies such as Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts. She works with public, private and P3 clients to create thriving, profitable tourism businesses and destinations. Her analytical insights and strategic perspectives have led to successful placemaking initiatives, grounded in unmatched access to proprietary data, strategic thinking and extensive experience across Canada. She specializes in destination development plans, tourism strategies and master plans, tourism investment attraction planning, and market and financial feasibility work, along with facilitating invitational processes for government related entities to attract private investment. Rebecca acquired the Certified Management Consultant (CMC) designation through the Canadian Association of Management Consultants (CMC-Canada) in 2012. In addition to ensuring professional standards and qualifications, the provincial institute ensures that its members adhere to a code of ethics and professional conduct. She applies these standards to every project she undertakes to ensure quality service.
