Duncan Chiu is Senior Director, Lodging Development for Marriott International covering Western Canada. In his current role, he works with owners & developers in sourcing, negotiating, securing new growth opportunities and executing franchise and management agreements for new build, conversion, mixed-use and adaptive reuse projects. Prior to joining Marriott International in 2020, Duncan held roles at Coast Hotels, HVS, Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts and Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts.

Duncan holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree, specializing in Hotel Administration from the University of Guelph. He is also a member of the University of Guelph’s School of Hospitality, Food & Tourism Management’s Policy Advisory Board, as well as the Acsenda School of Management’s Bachelor of Hospitality Management’s Policy Advisory Council.
