Tony is Partner & President, Canada in Crescent Hotels & Resorts. With 120 hotels (20 in Canada) under management and over 10,000 associates, Crescent is one of the top 4 Independent Hotel Management Companies in Canada/US. In his capacity, Tony oversees all matters related to growth and operations in Canada. Tony also serves on the Crescent’s Executive Committee, guiding strategic direction for the company.
Tony is also Founder & CEO of Global Edge Investments (GEI), a vertically integrated hospitality and management based investment company he founded in 1998. GEI has been involved in over $1.5B in transactions since its inception. GEI has guided major hotel deals including Le Germain Toronto and Thompson Toronto, to name a couple. GEI has also taken an active role in the founding and growth of several tech startups and CPG companies and has a 40% success rate in exits.
Tony currently serves on the boards of Mount Sinai Foundation, Birthright Israel Canada and formerly the Design Exchange. In 1998, in partnership with his wife, he created the Tora Foundation which is involved in organizations such as Birthright Israel, Sinai Health, Tennis Canada, the Bell Lightbox, the Ontario Science Centre, AIDA (Association of Israeli Decorative Artists), to name a few.
Tony attended the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, VA.
Tony is the 2012 recipient of the Ontario Hostelry Institute Gold Award for Hotelier of the Year.
